We decided we need a new layout in the next month, we are looking for great graphic designers who know how to make layouts to create our next layout to be featured on Nick J Online! I don’t have my computer anymore so I lost the original layout I was planning to use for the site along with everything else. We are rather picky and if it’s something we can’t image on Nick J Online there may not be a winner after all. But what a contest and a challenge it could be to impress us with your graphic design skills, right?

Deadline for the Layout Contest is: SUNDAY, JANUARY 27, 2008 @ 8PM PST. Please email your layout of how it should look exactly (links to coded layout or a actual good layout preview will work as well). Make sure you still have the file in LAYERS, PSP, ETC so if there is errors you can fix it. Send your submissions to our staff email at: NICKJONLINE@GMAIL.COM, the subject title should be “NICK J LAYOUT ENTRY: YOUR NAME GOES HERE”. You are limited up to 5 entries. Good Luck to all!

So here is the list and rules of what we expect to see in layouts:
- Good Quality (pixelation is not good as well)
- Creativity and Uniqueness is key (looks beautiful, professional still)
- Not too crazy/cluttered with stuff (good use of effects and stuff still)
- Nothing sloppy or crappy looking (paint looking layouts is a no)
- Good use of design, concept
- Easy to navigate (so fans can manage to get around the site)
- Good use of color and matching
- Readable fonts and texts
- Use only Nick photos (sorry Joe, Kevin, Frankie, etc.)
- Must be wide enough for the content box/ad and then as well for the sidebar (like we have right now)
- Must be easy to code (or you can help us code your layout if you win)

Our friend, Natalie told us about how the Jonas Brothers are booked for a multi-million two year tour. They venues will be either arenas or theatres and will be spread to around 140 tour dates. The Jonas Brothers have announced on their Myspace the first few tour dates and they said more will be coming soon through the next few weeks. So keep tuned. Our friend Jordan Francis (JMan) who you all may know we interviewed before for Jobromance Magazine has told us about how he added a video on his youtube account 2 days ago hanging with the Jonas Brothers, I forgot to tell you all about it. The girl in the video is his sister, Callie. This video was taken in Toronto while the boys were on the Best of Both Worlds Tour. Thanks Projam and JMan!

So I just woke up and I still haven’t gotten a call from my friend on picking me up. I think by now it’s too late since if she doesn’t come soon, the rest of the passes will be gone since they are giving the rest at 6 am and its 4:30 now (it takes around 1 hr and 45 mins to get there). I am so upset and angry, but I guess I have to wait until next time… I hope that’s soon? But getting to meet them actually will be a challenge, ugh. I guess I am going to sleep now. This has been a horrible day for me already.

Alright, so my computer still doesn’t work. I just want to atleast get my stuff from the computer like all the JOBROMANCE stuff, so sadly JOBROMANCE MAGAZINE won’t be coming out until futhur notice because I still didn’t finish and I can’t finish cause everything is on the darn computer. I think its honestly time for my parents to realize I need a new computer, I had my computer for over 8 years. :/

Also, sadly the Jonas Brothers, when I checked again got #2 on Popstar.com. Atleast we tried, congrats boys for making in the top 10!

I got a call from Mei/Jonas-Fans.com and she told me that the Verizon thing was too hectic and crazy. There were cops and ambulances because girls fainted and someone got arrested. Then they said the whole wristband/pass for the m&g was all messed up because a lot was just given out through raffles and contests (the other ones were given to people who went yesterday). Then my friend, Kara said that the meet and greet was so rushed because they had to hurry to go to their performance at Crest so it was just like “Hello. signs autograph. Bye” deal. They said it was so crowded and you can hardly see the Jonas Brothers when performing and it was cramped up. So honestly now, maybe I should be happy I didn’t go cause short girls wouldn’t do well in crowds like that (haha) and the fact I am slighty Claustrophobia wouldn’t do well either. :/

So, I didn’t leave yet because my friend hasn’t called me back. But here is some updates about the Verizon In-Store Appearance updates on what’s going to go down from what my friend told me since she was there earlier.

Verizon has already gave 100 wristbands today for the people who where there before the store closed. The store is closed right now and won’t be opening until 6am tomorrow (January 2nd). Anyone who tries to sleep overnight or stays in the parking lot before 6am will be escorted out by police and security. They do not want anyone there before 6am because it’s public property and it’s against laws. You cannot ‘save spots’ for anyone if you arrive early on time to get a wristband because they put the wristbands on your right away. There is also wristbands for the performing section as well and there will be a line for that starting at 6am as well. The performance will be first and starts at 3pm and after is the meet and greet for the 300 people who got wristbands. Another way you can win a chance to meet the boys is if you bring old cell phones, chargers, and phone accessories to donate it to the Hopeline Charity. After the Verizon thing, the Jonas Brothers will be going to Crest Theatre to perform which is 10 minutes away from the Verizon store.

Kat from Portrait Magazine had said to me about a Jonas Bros. Wallpaper Contest they are having:
“We currently have a Jonas Brothers themed wallpaper challenge running at Portrait. Users can submit up to three wallpapers featuring all three guys in the band or separate members. Entries will be taken until January 15th and then users on the site will vote for their favorite wallpaper to be featured in the next issue of Portrait Magazine.”

Nick J Online is SOTM at JAMIE-FAN.COM. They are currently in the process of redoing their site and they said they will give us our award and all later on. Go NJO!!!

There is a LA Concert for the Jonas Brothers on February 2nd, at the Universal Studios Ampitheatre. Tickets go on sale on January 11 at 10AM. For more information keep checking back at Ticketmaster.com!

And if we aren’t there before 6am, we are pretty much screwed. I am super upset and I cried. Because also my computer suddenly doesn’t work AT ALL. I am using my Sister’s laptop. All I want to is her to call me and let me know we are gonna be there. If I don’t go, I am gonna be upset for the rest of the week.

Tommy2.net has a new post about the best of 2007. The Jonas Brothers won Breakout Stars of 2007, and they won on other categories as well, like Best Album, Best Single, Best Group, S.O.S. won for Best Music Video, and their concert at the Target Center in MN is number 3 on the Best Concert category. Nick Jonas is number 2 on the Best Male Vocalist category.
