Hey there Nick J Online!

A while back, you posted an e-mail that someone sent you about JDRF’s Walk To Cure Diabetes. It explained the plan of joining the walk, and making a “Team Jonas” in every state/town’s Walk To Cure Diabetes. Being a huge supporter of Nicholas, and having a father with diabetes, I jumped at the chance to join the walk. I created a “Team Jonas” for the walk in Jersey City, NJ. But to my surprise, NO ONE has joined the team at all. (I’m the team leader) This team was created several months back, but I have yet to have anyone join. I’ve tried posting several myspace bulletins, commenting JB, and even messaging them. But still, no success. It would be AMAZING if you could encourage JB fans to enter the walk, and donate on my fund raising page.

RALEIGH – At 9 a.m. Wednesday, Mikel Stiffler’s father woke her up to say he had a surprise for her.

“I was like, ‘What the crap?’ and he said the Jonas Brothers are at the golf course where we’re at, and I was like, ‘Oh my god! oh my god!” Stiffler said.

Although their arrival at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Raleigh was supposed to be a secret, the pop rock group attracted a gaggle of fans in advance of their show at the Time Warner Cable Pavilion Wednesday night.

Jonas Dad Speaks Out About Son’s Diabetes Battle

The father of sibling trio The Jonas Brothers is tired of people who don’t take diabetes seriously – because he has to watch his teenage son attempting to manage his insulin levels every day.

Kevin Jonas Sr. insists those who dismiss the blood sugar disease should spend a day on a tour bus with his 15-year-old son Nick, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2005.

The young singer spent nine months trying to stabilize his condition and now has an exhaustive daily routine of jabs, tests and treatment – just to stay healthy.

His dad says, “I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to hear people belittle diabetes because it’s maintainable.

“They’ve never had to sit on a bus when a pump didn’t work and a second pump didn’t work… and a third didn’t, and he had to give himself a shot when we’re driving down a highway.

“Everybody on our team is on full alert, watching every move Nick makes on that stage every single night of his life.”

In a new Rolling Stone magazine expose, Nick reveals he has an insulin pump and catheter attached to his back when he performs so he can stabilize the insulin levels in his system throughout shows.

He also pricks his finger as much as 12 times a day so he can check his blood-sugar levels.

Jonas Brothers Raising Money for Kids’ Charity

NEW YORK, July 30 (UPI) — The Jonas Brothers have agreed to auction off exclusive backstage passes and premium concert tickets to benefit its children’s charity.

The proceeds from the online auctions are to benefit the Change for Children Foundation, which the band said it started to “support programs that motivate and inspire children to face adversity with confidence, determination and a will to succeed.”

Charityfolks.com is exclusively auctioning off the packages, which include four seats and a backstage “meet and greet” for concerts in more than a dozen U.S. cities in August and September.

The band’s Disney movie Camp Rock was watched by 8.9 million viewers and helped establish their single “Burnin’ Up” as a hit. The band is to release its new album “A Little Bit Longer” August 12.
