MEI: Hey everyone! I added news, articles, and some videos. There will probably be more updates later on. I won’t be able to update this weekend because I will be away to a wedding get-together at a Wild Life Preserve and its overnight! So that should be fun. I will be starting school on September 2 so I won’t be able to update as much as I’d like to from then on, but I will try my best to do update as much as possible like when I’m finished with my homework and such. School is my first priority and I have to keep my grades up!

Kevin had an interview with FRIDA magazine in Sweden when they were there. Dess translated it into English.
Kevin Jonas sits in his hotel room decked out in Gucci loafers, beige jacket and hair all over the place. He has a steady handshake and tells me how happy he is to see everyone before he even sits down. It’s a little exaggerated, he’s the typical american gentleman, no wonder he is all the girl’s favorite.K: i don’t think of myself as a heartthrob. i think it’s fun to tour and meet girls, we love what we do and without our fans we wouldn’t be where we are today, we’re honored and happy.
His eyes are humble as he talks about his career with his brothers.
K: we’ve toured for three and a half years now and this is our first time in sweden. i was so shocked when i heard we were having a meet and greet, it’s amazing that so many people actually want to meet us, i didn’t think we were known here. but our record lable guy told us there were 400 fans waiting outside, how is that possible when we haven’t even been here before? it’s always so overwhelming.
Joe, Kevin and Nick arrived in Sweden after departing from London at 4 am.
K: i’m super tired, i fell asleep the second i got here. the only thing i’ve seen of sweden so far is this room and the street outside. then again, the street is very beautiful.
He points to Vasagatan, that isn’t very pretty at all, I point out that he looks a little embarrassed.
K: haha ok, but we’re gonna see more of the city later. i have barely met any swedish girls yet. in fact, you’re the only one! but i hope to see more later.Kevin is single but he knows what kind of girl he is looking for.
K: someone that mom likes and gets along well with my family. i need someone that understands my schedule and loves and cares about me even if i am away touring. physically i don’t really know, but i like girls who dress up. dresses are nice and i like that she thinks about what she wears. even if she’s just going to the beach she should put her hair up and do a little something extra. it shows that she can take care of herself and in the end take care of me as well.I wonder why Kevin needs a girl to take care of him.
K: well no.. i can take care of myself of course but.. it’s a security knowing that she cares about her looks and stuff, then she can care about other things as well.Kevin has in earlier interviews said that he’s a virgin saving himself for marriage, he doesn’t want to talk about this but he does reveal that it’s not impossible for someone to be his girlfriend.
K: i try to find time to date. when we meet friends we hang out with girls too, but when we’re on tour it’s a little difficult. in a relationship i think trust and communication are the most important things. the girl has to understand who i am as a person and love me for who i am.Kevin isn’t the only brother who gets attention from girls, his little brothers are popular as well.
K: the youngest one always gets the most attention! well, it’s very even, no one gets more attention than the others, so fans can absolutely pick a favorite without us getting mad. we don’t count who gets to sign the most autographs or anything, it’s never been a competition and there never will be.When the Jonas Brothers tour the world, they have their entire family with them.
K: we like that we can bring out family with us. we almost never fight, a lot of people are surprised that we get along as well as we do. we only fight about small things, like if someone took my shirt or my socks. when you’re on tour we can’t bring a lot of clothes so if someone wears my shirt i don’t have any shirt at all to wear the next day, it’s hard to find the time to do laundry on the road.Their first movie Camp Rock premiered in June and was seen by 9 million people, which is the population of Sweden.
K: wow, really? that’s hot. i haven’t been in the states since it premiered so i can only imagine what it’s like back home. it’s fun that our debut movie is doing so well!Kevin’s favorite memory from the shoot.
K: joe’s character was supposed to run from some girls and he tripped and nearly faceplanted, and it wasn’t even planned! we laughed so much when we saw it, because they kept it in the movie.All of a sudden we’re out of time and Kevin’s two younger brothers enter the room. They’re so charming, especially middle brother Joe, that winks at me, and is very flirtatious. The brothers are having their pictures taken then they’re off to greet the 400 girls waiting for them, and if they keep this up the crowd’s are gonna double in time for their next visit.

The Jonas Brothers–three adorable haircuts related by birth and a willingness to appear on any talk show that will have them–are the latest teen act to attempt to transcend cuteness and achieve a measure of credibility with people who have no interest in taking them to the prom. Every time a band tries this, someone at its record company invariably mentions the early-’60s Beatles–it could happen!–but that only serves to reinforce how long the odds are, and the Jonas Brothers have already made it tough on themselves. There is the fact that all three brothers wear purity rings and have forsworn the temptations of sex and drugs, which wipes out large swaths of potential songwriting material. Also, they are products of the famously regimented Disney media machine, and their appearances on Hannah Montana and starring roles in Camp Rock don’t suggest any hidden expertise at plumbing the rougher edges of existence. Finally, look at them: How can anyone be expected to rock out to a band cuter than the Muppets?
That said–and the sound you hear is the reluctant swallowing of some primo critical bile–the Jonas Brothers are not bad. Pretty good, even. All 12 songs on their third album, A Little Bit Longer, are about girls, and they’re evenly divided between hook-filled upbeat rockers and ballads that stop themselves on the tasteful side of treacle. What we learn from these tunes about the various Jonases–Nick, 15, writes most of the songs and sings, while Joe, 19, sings lead vocals and looks handsome, and Kevin, 20, plays guitar–is that they are as honorable as their bios. When they court (Lovebug), they court with good intentions. When they mess up (Sorry), they apologize. When they come back (Can’t Have You), it’s on hands and knees. Apparently some of the courting and crawling stems from young Nick’s rumored past relationship with Miley Cyrus. Hey, there are people–most of the brothers’ fan base, in fact–who might find that interesting.
