What: Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes
When: November 1, 2008
Where: Freedom Park in Charlotte, North Carolina
Information: Step Out to Fight Diabetes in Charlotte this November! Serving as a community kick off for National Diabetes Awareness Month, our walk event will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2008. This 3.5 mile non-competitive fitness walk will begin and end in Freedom Park with the route taking participants throughout the beautiful surrounding Dilworth neighborhood. So grab your shoes and bring your friends, families, coworkers and man’s best friend for a fun filled morning of exercise, music, food and festivities.

There is no better way to start your fall November morning than with exercise! During check in enjoy the live music performed by Dave Opper and the Opperators. Walkers can also enjoy a light breakfast snack while visiting our annual Community and Wellness Festival and access to the Kids Korner for our younger participants!

Form a team with five or more walkers or register as an individual walker and start to raise money while spreading awareness. Raise $150 and receive an event t-shirt! Raise $500 to become a part of the Elite Feet Club! Either way, you are taking a step closer to help in the fight against diabetes. We hope to see you in November! Source.

A source in the know has claimed that the so-called “Bonus Jonas” will make recurring guest appearances on the upcoming show, starring as the youngest Lucas brother.

More details have been outed by a source in the know about the highly anticipated Disney television series “J.O.N.A.S!”, one of which is that Frankie the “Bonus Jonas” will make recurring guest appearances on it. The little boy, whose name is Franklin “Frankie” Nathaniel Jonas, will play as the youngest brother of Lucas brothers, played by his real-life brothers, Jonas Brothers.

“They play three brothers in a band. But in the show, they are the ‘Lucas’ brothers,” the unidentified source explained referring to Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas’ starring roles in the comedy series. The source moreover explained that its title “J.O.N.A.S!” is meant as a reference “to the name of the street they live on.”

And while all the Jonas’ siblings will star in, the series wouldn’t star their real-life parents. Their on-screen parents will be played by actor and actress who have yet to be identified.

The brothers are scheduled to begin shooting the series, which reportedly will be a single-camera comedy series, next Monday, September 29. The location of the shooting isn’t being disclosed. The series, still according to the source, is slated for spring 2009 debut.

You know we’ve entered a brave new world when the title of the most popular album among kids today refers to the singer’s battle with juvenile diabetes.

“Got the news today, doctor said I had to stay/ A little bit longer and I’ll be fine.” So opens “A Little Bit Longer,” the title track on the new Jonas Brothers album of the same name.
Nick Jonas said it took him just 20 minutes after he got his diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes to sit down and write this haunting melodic gem. The song and his comments about having diabetes are all over You Tube if you want to check them out. Nick, by the way, was born in 1992, which some of you will find pertinent. (His two older brothers and band mates were born in 1987 and 1989, and they do not have juvenile diabetes.)…

JoBros will being shooting their Disney Channel series starting on Monday according to Access Hollywood.

The series will be called Jonas, referring to the street they live on. The trio plays three brothers in a band known as the Lucas Brothers!

The “bonus” Jonas (Frankie) will be making recurring guest appearances.

The series is scheduled to debut next Spring. “It’s going to be a funny show and it’s going to be a great cast,” Joe said. “I’m really excited!”

The brazilian Disney Channel is airing the DC Games every friday this month, and during the week they show some interviews and clips of the team members. Brazil is famous for the “carnaval and samba”. So, at this friday’s DC Games, they featured Nick Jonas in an interview with 3 other disney channel stars asking Robson (Disney Channel Brazil) to teach them the Samba. Nick Jonas was trying to dance it. You can watch a clip in the video section.
