From Meg – 1 IN 30 PROJECT
Help people with Diabetes including Nick, read below the email we received!

My name is Meg and I run Jonas Fashion, the only Jonas Brothers style website on the web. I’ve created a project called the “1 in 30 Project” which helps raise awareness for diabetes. I’ve decided to hold it in November because November is National Diabetes Month. The premises is this:

Participants give up 1 luxury item for 1 month (30 days). At the end of the month participants are able to give whatever he or she would have spent on that item throughout the month to a diabetes charity. For example, I, Meg, will be giving up buying candy at my school’s candy store. This equals $1 for every purchase or $30. At the end of the month I could donate that $30 to a diabetes charity of my choice.

Obviously participants are not required to donate anything to any charity or organization. Even if they cannot donate they can still participate. The whole project is about raising awareness for diabetes and seeing what it is like for a diabetic. When diabetics are first diagnosed they must alter their entire lifestyles and diets for their whole lives. By giving up a luxury item for 1 month we are able to (almost) understand what it is like for diabetics who must alter their lifestyles, if only for a month.

I want this project to be as big as possible which is why I’m emailing you all. I was hoping that you all would get involved by joining the project and possibly including a link to the project in your next website’s update. Please consider joining, it is for a great cause. I’ve set up a Firstgiving page and any money that participants donate through there will go to the Jonas Brothers’ Change for the Children Foundation.

Again, please consider joining and posting about it. I want this to be as big as possible and I know that if we all just make 1 post about the project we all can make a big difference. This is not only for Nick but for all the kids, teens, and adults around the world who have diabetes and have been affected by diabetes and I know we all have been at least affected by it.

The Jonas Brothers give MySpace Fashion a behind-the-scenes look at the fashion that inspires them in a brand new episode of “The Fit”. (This was filmed back on September 18.)

Along with their super stylist Michelle Tomaszewski, Kevin, Joe and Nick also share bits about their new smash hit, “Lovebug”. Check out the video below to see how these teenagers were transformed into 1920s studs!

At the Trinity River Audubon Center, no less. Either that, or I misread the press release we just received from The White House Office of the First Lady. Awfully smoky in here. Nope … that’s what it says — showtime’s at 1:30 p.m. Says the brief missive: “MRS. BUSH participates in a First Bloom activity with the Jonas Brothers and delivers Remarks at Trinity River Audubon Center.” What, Jessica Simpson have a Mensa meeting? And on the subject of Westlake’s own (?) JoBros, this was surprisingly awesome.

And that last link finally gives me reason enough to post a link to Elvis Costello’s unreleased cover of Wreckless Eric’s “Whole Wide World” recorded in 1977, for which I’ve had several requests since I played it Saturday night (might have been Sunday morning). –Robert Wilonsky

The Jonas Brothers are some of the hardest working people in show business these days. Not only are the Jonas Brothers busy giving concerts, but they’re also finishing up shooting episodes of a new Disney channel. It’s also been announced that the brothers will be appearing in their first feature film, Walter, the Farting Dog. But that’s not all.
“It has been a busy month. We got off tour and immediately went into production of our new DC show – JONAS. It is so exciting! We have completed 4-5 episodes already and they are going great. We can’t wait for you to see it. We are not sure when it will start airing but we are all really proud to work with the people in the show. We are also releasing a All Access Book from the Burning Up Tour. We picked out all the pictures and shared a lot of stuff that we hope touches our fans.

In February we will be releasing our first movie in 3D. The movie is from this summer’s tour and covers a lot of the things did this summer and places that we visited. We just had our first screening and all we can say about the movie is…”

If this still isn’t enough Jonas Brothers for you, there’s plenty more. The JoBros will We will be performing at this year’s American Music Awards, as well as the atat Halftime at the Dallas Cowboys Game on Thanksgiving Day. After that they’ll end the year by ringing in New Year’s by performing on New Year’s Eve on Times Square.

The Jonas Brothers have achieved platinum status for their CD, A Little Bit Longer, in just 10 weeks on the charts. Considering the tough environment for music sales, it shows that the JoBros have an energized fan base.

The group, which consists of brothers Nick Jonas, 16, Joe Jonas, 19, and Kevin Jonas, 20, is having the kind of year in 2008 that many dream of, but few achieve.
