MEI: Hello everyone! So sorry for the lack of updates from me. I’ve been having lots of projects & essays lately for school. But finally now, I had the chance to add some news!

LOLLIPOP is hosting a celebrity charity auction which runs from now until Sunday, October 5. According to MTV.com, the Jonas Brothers hope to release their music video on their new single, “Love Bug” by Wednesday, October 15th to the public. The Jonas Brothers had mentioned to MTV the concept of the music video was classically inspired by the love story of “The Notebook” and the song direction was inspired by (besides the hippy, laid back feel) the movie, “Juno” and the legendary band, “The Beatles“. It’s only a matter of time before the guys who left you “Burnin’ Up” will debut the video for their latest single, “Lovebug.” The song isn’t new to Jonas Brothers fans, who have seen them sing it everywhere from the VMAs to “Dancing With the Stars.” But MTV News got all the latest info about the song and its video, which is a period-piece love story inspired by “The Notebook.”

“We have a dream of what it can be,” Kevin Jonas said of the clip. “It’s about capturing that idea. We want to make sure it’s always right.”

The guys wrote the song while on the road with their friend and fellow Disney superstar, Miley Cyrus. “We wrote it while on the Christmas break of the ‘Hannah Montana’ tour. So we were in the hotel room and sat down that night and wrote it in about 15 or 20 minutes,” Nick explained.

The track — like a lot of the JoBros’ songs — is about puppy love, but this time the brothers are going acoustic. They also found inspiration from an unlikely source — the soundtrack to a movie about a sassy, pregnant teenage girl.

“The vision for the song actually came from some different inspirations,” Nick added. “But ‘Juno’ was one of our favorite movies at the time, and the soundtrack is always kind of odd, so we decided to put those elements in the song, and it came very nicely.”

That soundtrack might have helped shape the song, but Nick also had another major songwriting influence: “I think there are a lot of things we draw from, but that song in particular is a Beatles influence.”

Although no names were mentioned when asked just who the song might be about, Joe did say that the lyrics’ meaning is really open to the listener’s interpretation. “It can mean anything,” he said. “But for us, it’s throwing any past inhibitions to the wind.”

“Really, just falling in love with somebody,” Nick added. “And [how] if they break your heart — or however it ends — you think, ‘That’s it forever,’ until the lovebug gets you [again].”

The group hopes to release the Philip Andelman-directed video by October 15.

As we slip from September into October, the time comes to honour yet another band who have captured our attention over the past month and this time it’s the turn of those sweet siblings that make up The Jonas Brothers.

The guys seem to have grabbed more headlines that Britney this month but despite the fact that they are only just hitting headlines on British shores; they have actually been around for quite a while before they got their big break.

The band is made up of three brothers; Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas and initially gained their popularity from appearing on the Disney Channel. They begin to find fame in 2005 when they went on several tours including being the opening act of Kelly Clarkson, Jesse McCartney, the Backstreet Boys, and The Click Five…

The Jonas Brothers are in their own world now, according to a former boy band member who should know. Long before the Jonas Brothers hit the scene, another group of brothers known as “Hanson” was making music.

Taylor Hanson says things are weird for the Jonas Brothers.

“There is definitely some Twilight Zone-esque qualities to it,” said Taylor Hanson, the middle brother. “There’s a surreal quality to looking at that audience and the sudden awareness of that band by so many people. I hope they are able to harness whatever is the most authentic aspect about what’s going on right now and make a career out of it.”

Hanson sold over 15 million records in their career.

We’d love to get our hands on a skinny tuxedo blazer tailored by the Jonases, and a sparkly frock by Ms. Cyrus would make us feel like an undercover pop star any day.
