I know this is Nick Site but If you are Selena Gomez fan just like us we wanted to post this exciting news. Selena Gomez is out to release her album next summer with being in a band and plans on going on a national tour with her band next summer as well. She is in the studio trying to create some songs but she also has some auditions for band mates. She said she wants it an all band mates that are boys possibly so she can be the “Front Woman”. She said in an interview, “We plan on holding auditions in Hollywood, and in the meantime I will be in the studio recording some of the songs. As far as actual band members right now, we do not have any, but it is getting closer and closer and I am really excited to be in the studio.“! The Jonas Brothers have been invited to attend the Barbara Davis’ 30th Carousel of Hope gala for juvenile diabetes on Oct. 25th. The Jonas Brothers have been announced to be one of the performances of the night. They will be attending in hopes to help raise money towards the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes where many kids are receiving care. The owner and creator, Barbara Davis wanted to invite the Jonas Brothers and such because she was inspired by how well the boys were raised and the fact Nick Jonas (having Type 1 Diabetes, himself) makes such an impact on many children facing Diabetes as well.

The youngest one has diabetes,” notes Barbara Davis, speaking of 16-year-old Nick. “That’s how we got into it. Actually, I called his dad and I had to congratulate him as well as their mom on raising boys who are so well-grounded. This boy wrote a song about diabetes (“A Little Bit Longer”), and he will sing that,” she reveals.
The Beverly Hilton event is on track to live up to its lavish predecessors, with literally pages worth of luxurious items to be auctioned off — ranging from a shiny new $142,000 Mercedes SL 63 AMG to a three-night stay for 12 at a fully-staffed seaside estate. So I’m sitting around, wasting time for Fringe to come on and it’s about 7:30, so I figure I’ll just watch some Hannah Montana and then figure out what to do for the hour afterward. Well, I catch the end of Suite Life and it moves on into a commercial break. Of course, it being Disney Channel, it’s not so much a commercial break as it is a self-promotion break, so we see a short special on the Jonas Brothers.
This particular one was about Nick Jonas and his life with diabetes. Now, I think this is a great thing to really inform kids about and to share on the Disney Channel. It’s something that many people live with–including peers of viewers if not the viewers himself! So anyway, it was decent.
Until I saw that all medicine, needles, and other medical necessities for anyone with diabetes were blurred out. And I’m not sure why. Was it to blur out the name of the medical supplies so that they’re not promoting any particular diabetes product? Or was it just to hide any sort of needle so others can’t make assumptions of what they’re used for, even though the entire thing was explaining it?
Really, it’s a little appalling. This is a big part of what life is like for someone with diabetes. If we really want to show what Nick Jonas is struggling with then SHOW it. Is it really that necessary to censor? I just feel like we should be seeing it all to totally appreciate how much he goes through–and how much their peers go through. I just feel like it loses a little of its impact.
Which is too bad. It would have a really strong message and give the younger audience something to think about otherwise.
