One would assume the Jonas Brothers could have almost any girl they want — but there’s only one they wanted for their latest video, “Lovebug,” set to premiere this weekend on the Disney Channel.

Actress Camilla Belle, known for her work in “10,000 BC” and “When a Stranger Calls,” will be the lead in the boys’ new video.

“It was really funny, because we had, like, three days to prepare the video and they gave me a dream list of people they’d want in the video,” director Philip Andelman (Lenny Kravitz, Jesse McCartney) told MTV News Friday (October 17). “They told me they know it’s a long shot, but ‘we are absolutely in love with Camilla Belle.’ And sure enough, it worked out.”

Even though Belle was also excited to work with the guys, Andelman assured MTV News that there were no romantic dalliances on set. “It was a canoodle-free set!” he joked. (Sorry, no Miley Cyrus/ Nick Jonas revelations here!)

Although Andelman admitted he “wasn’t that familiar” with the Jonas’ work before hitting the set with them last month in Los Angeles, “even though I live in the middle of the woods, I knew they were a big deal,” he said.

The video, set in the 1940s, revolves around a young couple who end up at dance where the Jonas Brothers, who play the couple’s friends earlier in the video, are performing. The guys came up with a rough concept for the video themselves.

“They sent me these four or five lines,” Andelman recalled. “They wanted something very romantic set in the ’40s. It was such a joy, and literally everyone was on the same page, and that’s how we were able to pull it off. I think [the video is] exactly what we saw in our heads. We fed off each others’ enthusiasm.”

Andelman, who had only two days to film an epic, period love story, said he owes everything to the professionalism of the crew and the Jonas Brothers. “It was a hustle,” he said. “You had no time to come up for air. It was a rare instance where everyone [involved] was the best in the business.”

The director, who worked with several boy bands as a cinematographer in the late 1990s, said he hasn’t met a pop group as professional and nice as the Jonas Brothers. “They’re literally nonstop working,” he said. “The one hour they had for lunch, they were doing interviews and promos, and it never stops. They never whine and complain. They are incredibly grateful. They never ever stop.

“They are dreamy,” he continued. “They’re so unbelievably professional and well-mannered. … It comes from [their dad], and he raised them to be such gentleman.

“Not to name names, but I’ve worked with some jerks.”

It’s been a super-busy year for the Jonas Brothers, who have been making music, working on a Disney Channel show and wrapping up their 3-D movie, set for release next year.

“This past year has gotten busier,” Joe Jonas said. “But it’s been more fun.”

They’ve also shared their love of a variety of music with everyone. We’ve heard them speak a lot about their love of the Beatles and Johnny Cash, and now we have a couple of more bands to add to the mix. “The Zutons are a major inspiration,” Nick said. “And Coldplay, of course.” Joe agreed: “We’ve always been big Coldplay fans.”

And we’ve learned throughout the year that the Jonas Brothers are no strangers to collaborating. This past summer alone, they wrote and produced songs for Demi Lovato. They also had Joe’s ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift, join them onstage when they played at Madison Square Garden in August. And let’s not forget their loyal bodyguard Big Rob, who raps on their hit “Burnin’ Up.”

But the boys are ready to add another teen dream to the mix — and perhaps even gain some cred in the urban market. The brothers said they’d jump at the chance to work with Chris Brown, who is also no stranger to collaborating with other artists. “I think we want to write something, and both our schedules are kind of crazy,” Joe told MTV International. “When we have time and he has time, we’ll write together and see if we can record a song.”

So, Chris, take some time out of your busy schedule to hang out with the Jonas Brothers. We’re sure your fans will thank you for it!

EUROPE WAS AMAZING!

Hey everyone!

I know we are writing a lot tonight but we wanted to let you know about our trip this week to Europe.

We were asked to take our week off from the TV show to go to Europe to promote the new CD. It was amazing to see fans in other countries.

Our first stop was Milan, Italy. They had a special MTV TRL on Sunday for us. We were excited because Milan was a great stop on the Avril Lavigne tour. We were not prepared for the response. There were 20,000 people in the Plaza waiting for us and people lining the streets leading to MTV. It was crazy. Everyone had signs. Some of the signs were on huge bed sheets with pictures and drawings. Italy made us feel so welcome.

The next stop was Madrid, Spain. Last summer we had to cancel our concert in Spain because of the truckers strike. We did a signing in one of the main shopping areas. The crowd as so big and excited. They had to shut it down twice to call in extra security. We finally had to leave because the crowd was so intense. The Spanish fans made us feel so encouraged.

Then we went to Germany. As always the people were amazing. There were people outside of every venue and TV show. We always love Germany but this time we felt even more loved.

Next stop London. The UK is an amazing place and the first thing we had to do was go to our favorite French restaurant. Once again, there were people outside of every radio station, TV show, etc. It amazes us how much people go through to show us their support. Thanks

Last stop was Paris, France. We only did promotional stuff in Paris. The fans were awesome and followed us everywhere. The French fans are so passionate.

We can’t wait to get back to Europe again.

THEN we flew home and stopped in Phoenix, Arizona to do music for a figure skating special. The fans made us feel so loved. Thanks for all the love.

IRVING, Texas (AP) — The Jonas Brothers will perform during halftime of the Dallas Cowboys’ nationally televised Thanksgiving Day game against the Seattle Seahawks.

The band will officially kick off the 2008 Salvation Army Red Kettle Christmas campaign at the November 27 contest. The fundraising drive continues through Christmas Eve.

Since its partnership with the Cowboys, which began in 1997, the annual Red Kettle campaign has raised more than $1 billion, helping the Salvation Army serve 30 million people each year nationwide. Last year, the campaign raised a record $118 million.

Previous halftime performers include Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Sheryl Crow, Destiny’s Child, Toby Keith, LeAnn Rimes, Jessica Simpson, Randy Travis and Reba McEntire.

The Jonas Brothers aren’t necessarily three young men you’d normally associate with football, what with their curly locks and their love of skinny jeans. But they’ll be on hand to perform at the halftime show during the Thanksgiving Day game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks, The Associated Press reports.

The performance kicks off the 2008 Salvation Army Red Kettle Christmas campaign, which has raised more than $1 billion since the Cowboys began partnering with the program in 1997. That money has been used to help 30 million people each year.

“I was born in Dallas, which makes performing with my brothers at the Cowboys’ halftime on Thanksgiving an incredible honor,” youngest brother Nick said, according to MarketWatch.com.

“This year, more than ever, the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign will make a huge impact for families at Christmas and throughout the year,” Kevin said. “It’s very important for us to give back. We’d like to thank Jerry Jones, the Dallas Cowboys, Israel Gaither and the Salvation Army for inviting us to be part of this awesome Thanksgiving tradition. We’ll remember this for a long time to come.”

The Jonas Brothers are going retro in their new, ’40s-themed video for “Lovebug.”

“We had a very specific vision,” Kevin told the Disney Channel, which will premiere the video on Oct. 19 at 8:55 p.m. (on both the East and West coasts). “You’re part of a world that you wish you could be a part of and that’s not around any more.”

The clip, directed by Philip Andelman, depicts a love story between a woman and a soldier who’s being shipped off to war. It stars 10,000 BC’s Camilla Belle – much to the brothers’ delight!

“We saw her in that [movie] and, to be honest, we all fell in love with her,” said Nick. “We said why not have in her a music video?”

The Camp Rock stars play multiple characters – including members of a ballroom band – in the video, which culminates in a sweeping dance number.

On the 19th, the Disney Channel will also air a behind-the-scenes look at the making of “Lovebug” during episodes of Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place.

It was all too commonplace to hear John Fields recount the making of the Melismatics’ new album at Flowers Studio, the recording hideaway in Uptown Minneapolis owned by Ed Ackerson and used by countless local bands.

It was, however, a bit shocking to hear the burgeoning producer also talk about working there on records by mega-famous tween-pop acts the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus.

“Oh, yeah, I’ve done a lot of work there,” said Fields, who used to play in the Twin Cities funk-rock band Greazy Meal and now splits his time between here and Los Angeles.

Still basking in the glow of the Jonas Brothers record “A Little Bit Longer” — which debuted at No. 1 a month ago and got an unlikely four-star review in Rolling Stone — Fields said he brings his work to town as often as he can. He doesn’t actually bring the stars to town, but he brings their recordings here to mix and to add parts, often enlisting his local stable of friends such as Michael Bland and Ken Chastain to perform on them.

“What can I say? I know a lot of great players here,” he said.

Talking about the Jonases, he said, “It’s only been 18 months since I first met them, and we’ve already churned out like 18 tracks, with many more to come. They’re amazing songwriters, and I think they will be around for a long, long time.”

Funny to think that just three years ago, Fields’ pet act was R-rated sex-me-up singer Har Mar Superstar, whom he actually recruited to rap on a Jonas Brothers song (alas, his part was scratched). In between, he produced tracks for such pop-rock bands as Jimmy Eat World and Rooney (he plans to start recording with the latter this week). And he earned a wholesome pedigree producing for the semi-Christian band Switchfoot and singer/actress Mandy Moore.

Fields produced Cyrus’ latest hit single, “7 Things,” as well as the new album by another teen starlet, Demi Lovato, which debuted at No. 2 last month. He said he has no qualms appealing to teen and pre-teen girls.

This is the Jonas Brothers’ second album, though they’re only gaining popularity outside of the US now.

Their single SOS did well on the charts and the rest of the album is full of catchy, sing-along, poppy skater boy tunes.

Plus, they say exactly what teen girls want to hear . Check song titles: When You Look Me In The Eyes or Hello Beautiful.

Their third album, A Little Bit Longer, is already out in the US, it was released in August. You can order one and surprise your kid before the offering reaches SA.

I know this is Nick Site but If you are Selena Gomez fan just like us we wanted to post this exciting news. Selena Gomez is out to release her album next summer with being in a band and plans on going on a national tour with her band next summer as well. She is in the studio trying to create some songs but she also has some auditions for band mates. She said she wants it an all band mates that are boys possibly so she can be the “Front Woman”. The Jonas Brothers have been invited to attend the Barbara Davis’ 30th Carousel of Hope gala for juvenile diabetes on Oct. 25th. The Jonas Brothers have been announced to be one of the performances of the night. They will be attending in hopes to help raise money towards the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes where many kids are receiving care. The owner and creator, Barbara Davis wanted to invite the Jonas Brothers and such because she was inspired by how well the boys were raised and the fact Nick Jonas (having Type 1 Diabetes, himself) makes such an impact on many children facing Diabetes as well.

The youngest one has diabetes,” notes Barbara Davis, speaking of 16-year-old Nick. “That’s how we got into it. Actually, I called his dad and I had to congratulate him as well as their mom on raising boys who are so well-grounded. This boy wrote a song about diabetes (“A Little Bit Longer”), and he will sing that,” she reveals.

The Beverly Hilton event is on track to live up to its lavish predecessors, with literally pages worth of luxurious items to be auctioned off — ranging from a shiny new $142,000 Mercedes SL 63 AMG to a three-night stay for 12 at a fully-staffed seaside estate. So I’m sitting around, wasting time for Fringe to come on and it’s about 7:30, so I figure I’ll just watch some Hannah Montana and then figure out what to do for the hour afterward. Well, I catch the end of Suite Life and it moves on into a commercial break. Of course, it being Disney Channel, it’s not so much a commercial break as it is a self-promotion break, so we see a short special on the Jonas Brothers.

This particular one was about Nick Jonas and his life with diabetes. Now, I think this is a great thing to really inform kids about and to share on the Disney Channel. It’s something that many people live with–including peers of viewers if not the viewers himself! So anyway, it was decent.

Until I saw that all medicine, needles, and other medical necessities for anyone with diabetes were blurred out. And I’m not sure why. Was it to blur out the name of the medical supplies so that they’re not promoting any particular diabetes product? Or was it just to hide any sort of needle so others can’t make assumptions of what they’re used for, even though the entire thing was explaining it?

Really, it’s a little appalling. This is a big part of what life is like for someone with diabetes. If we really want to show what Nick Jonas is struggling with then SHOW it. Is it really that necessary to censor? I just feel like we should be seeing it all to totally appreciate how much he goes through–and how much their peers go through. I just feel like it loses a little of its impact.

Which is too bad. It would have a really strong message and give the younger audience something to think about otherwise.

Having a number of work commitments to fulfill, Jonas Brothers stop by ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” to show some love, support and help for the Akers family, whose oldest child Christian has Chrohn’s Disease and two daughters, Brooke and Faith, are suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy that left them confined to their beds. Besides having meet-and-greet session with the young children, the brothers also sang them a song.

Traveling to West Chester, Ohio to tell the Akers family they will have their home being renovated in only seven days, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” filmed Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas meeting the family in San Francisco where they’ve been sent on vacation while their house is being remodeled. They shook hands with the kids who consider them as their idols and Brooke even had the chance to kiss one of the famous siblings.

During their visit, Jonas Brothers also sang a song for the Akers family which led “the boy, Christian to become very emotional!” Reality TV Magazine reports. Greater than the meet-and-greet session, Christian, Brooke and Faith are also given the chance to watch their idols’ performance in a concert.

And while “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” episode title of “Akers Family” airs on Sunday, October 5 from 8 P.M. to 9 P.M. ET on ABC, some pictures from the show, including one with the Jonas Brothers in it, can be seen on Reality TV Magazine.

Following the reports circulating that Ali Lohan has rejected the offer from Jonas Brothers’ management, the man mentioned in the article, Johnny Wright, has released a statement saying that he is not involved in any kind of encounter with the starlet. Wright emphasized that he had never even met Ali when the reports surfaced.

“Johnny Wright would like to set the record straight regarding his involvement with Ali Lohan,” the press release, dated October 2 is partly read. “Johnny Wright has never met with Ali Lohan, has never been introduced to Ali Lohan nor has he had a meeting with Ali or Dina Lohan regarding Ali’s music career.”

He continued, “While he wishes Ali Lohan the best in all her endeavors, Mr. Wright has never had any intention of speaking with Ali Lohan regarding her career. Any story that has surfaced about such a meeting holds no merit and is completely false.”

Wright Entertainment Group which is the management house of Justin Timberlake, Jonas Brothers, Janet Jackson and Ciara among others, said that there never was any interest from the group to intervene with Ali’s career.

I remember seeing one of the little girls (well probably saw the whole family actually) when Me and Kayla passed by. Hello all-

Since my last blog, we performed at the VMAs, wrapped up our tour, filmed another video and rented out Dodgers Stadium for a little bit of fun. Speaking of Dodgers Stadium, it is also the home of the November 1st JDRF Walk where I will be with TEAM JONAS. Hope you had a chance to enter the W.I.N.S Sweepstakes, I can’t wait to see who is going to win and represent the team. Bayer and I thought this would be a great way to raise awareness regarding diabetes and diabetes care. As you know this is an important time of the year for diabetes as we all work hard to raise awareness and money for more research to find the cure. What better way to kick off National Diabetes Month than to be out there supporting the cause.

Production of our new Disney TV Show began this week, it is a pretty hectic schedule but I have to tell you it is nice to be sleeping in my own bed for more than one night here and there. The show is going to be taping thru the end of year, I wish I could say that was the only thing I am going to be doing, but you know better than that. JB has a lot of surprises planned for you before the end of the year.

It was great to see so many of you out on the road, I hope all of you had as great of a summer as I did.

Soon you won’t need a ticket to see the Jonas Brothers’ show, In Touch proclaims this week. The magazine is reporting that Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas just started production on their new Disney Channel TV series, Jonas – and they gave In Touch a sneak peek of what to expect.

“Our characters are exaggerated versions of each one of us with our names,” Nick tells In Touch in the interview in this week’s magazine that is on newsstands now. “It’s about us being on tour, traveling and living with the same things everybody our age would live with – like going to high school and working.” And yes, the band will be writing new songs for the show.

‘”They’ll say, ‘Okay, your character wants to write a song about riding a bike,’ so we’ll have to, like a writer’s essay,” says Joe. “It’s very Flight of the Conchords and also like when Malcolm talked to the camera on Malcolm in the Middle, but musical,” adds Kevin. “We’re really excited!”

“I play Stella, who at some point, all three of the boys are interested in ” says costar Chelsea Staub. “Awesome gig for me!”

The Jonas Brothers catch a departing flight out of LAX airport in Los Angeles on Friday.

Kevin, 20, Joe, 19, and Nick, 16, recently told MTV News that they wrote their upcoming single “Lovebug” while on the road with pal Miley Cyrus.

“We wrote it while on the Christmas break of the ‘Hannah Montana’ tour. So we were in the hotel room and sat down that night and wrote it in about 15 or 20 minutes,” Nick explained.

“The vision for the song actually came from some different inspirations,” Nick added. “But Juno was one of our favorite movies at the time, and the soundtrack is always kind of odd, so we decided to put those elements in the song, and it came very nicely.”

The Philip Andelman-directed “Lovebug” video is scheduled to be released before October 15.

Dear Friends and Family,

I’m writing to you to ask for your support in a very special cause.

This year, I’ll be taking part in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk to Cure Diabetes along with a half-million other walkers across the country. Our goal: To raise $105 million to help fund research for a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications.

Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating, often deadly disease that affects millions of people–a large and growing percentage of them children.

Many people think type 1 diabetes can be controlled by insulin. While insulin does keep people with type 1 diabetes alive, it is NOT a cure. Aside from the daily challenges of living with type 1 diabetes, there are many severe, often fatal, complications caused by the disease.

That’s the bad news… and yes, it’s pretty bad.

The good news, though, is that a cure for type 1 diabetes is within reach. In fact, JDRF funding and leadership is associated with most major scientific breakthroughs in type 1 diabetes research to date. And JDRF funds a major portion of all type 1 diabetes research worldwide, more than any other charity.

I’m writing to ask for your support because now more than ever, EACH of us can be a part of bringing about a cure. Each of us can make a real difference.

This year, I have the honor of being the captain of TEAM JONAS for the New Brunswick, NJ walk at Cook College, Rutgers. We are walking not only to help raise money to find a cure for all those affected by diabetes, but we are walking for one of my celebrity heroes (and maybe yours too!) Nick Jonas (of the Jonas Brothers). Nick lives everyday, whether on the road, in the studio, or on a set, with diabetes and always has such a positive attitude towards life. He does not let his disease slow him down and he encourages others to make the same vow. He is an inspiration to those suffering from the disease, as well as others, who are going through difficult times in their lives. My goal for this team is to support those who have diabetes, and to show support, as well as, our appreciation to Nick by raising money and awareness for a cause that is so close to his heart.

Won’t you please give to JDRF as generously as you’re able?

October 02, 2008, (Sawf News) – Next week the brothers will hop through major European cities performing and appearing on media shows to promote their new album – A Little Bit Longer. They are also set to release the video for the single Lovebug.

The Lovebug video, directed by Philip Andelman, will release on October 15. The rocker siblings, who debuted the single at the VMAs on September 7, told MTV news that it is a period-piece love story inspired by The Notebook. They wrote the song while on the the Hannah Montana tour with Miley Cyrus.

“We wrote it while on the Christmas break of the ‘Hannah Montana’ tour. So we were in the hotel room and sat down that night and wrote it in about 15 or 20 minutes,” Nick explained.

The inspiration for the track came from the soundtrack of the 2007 comedy drama Juno and the song is influenced by the Beatles.

When asked who the song maybe about, Joe said, “It can mean anything, but for us, it’s throwing any past inhibitions to the wind.”

“Really, just falling in love with somebody,” Nick added. “And [how] if they break your heart – or however it ends – you think, ‘That’s it forever,’ until the lovebug gets you [again].”…

Next Wednesday through Saturday (Oct. 8-11), thrifty Washingtonians will have a chance to visit Madame Tussauds for just $1 as the wax museum celebrates the first anniversary of its D.C. location. (Doesn’t it seem like it’s been there far longer?)

The catch: They want you to sing “Happy Birthday” at the box office. They’ll still let you in if you don’t, but you will be considered a poor sport.

JoBromance Magazine (not to be confused with the LOLs-a-lot book Brocabulary, which could’ve been based soley on Doug and Brody alone on this week’s episode of The Hills, though I digress) — a superbly crafted free online fanzine devoted to the Jonas Brothers — wrote an amazing article on “Jonas Brothers: Live & Mobile,” this summer’s MTV Jonastravaganza, in which I followed the Jonas Brothers (and Kevin Sr. and Denise, and Frankie Jonas, and Big Rob, and even Demi Lovato, plus a zillion screaming fans) around New York for two days.

Check out the article (just click le pic below) for more insider info on what it was really like to spend two straight days talking to the Jonas Brothers, hanging out on their tourbus, chasing them on their Segways, eating their food (thanks, guys!), waking them up in the morning, and invading their dressing room.
