TODAY’S NEWS:
From Nick J Online – COWEB
Wanted to always work for Nick J Online? Well here is your chance. Nick J Online is in need of a new co-web and I need someone who is willing to be dedicated to the site as much as I am. I am in my third year of college but lately since I am a full time student and I am almost 20 (on October 10th, yes I know, I am old). I got a lot to handle on my plate. I need a trustworthy, kind person who I know will have my back and won’t backstab me or damage the site. I am done with kind of people who think they can use the website to get closer to the Jonas Brothers, so if you are in it just to try to think you will get backstage, don’t even enter. I need a coweb that has more free time and can update DAILY and quickly. Most of my co-webs seem to never have time to update that is why I need one that is available daily and has more hours to spent updating. I have usually classes from morning to night and my spare time is usually rare. So if you are up for you, please following everything below!
PLEASE FILL OUT INFORMATION COMPLETELY AND HONESTLY!
Name:
Age:

- Knows how to use and upload pictures on COPPERMINE gallery:
- Has some basic, good GRAPHIC skills:
- Can be respectful to all staff members and the website:THESE ARE THE LIST OF BONUS (BETTER CHANCE ON BEING COWEB)!
- List Image Accounts you own/have (ex. wireimage, getty):
- Knows how to code layouts/themes for Wordpress:
- List anything else you think is an advantage:SEND ENTRY TO AND MAKE SUBJECT CALLED “Coweb App” TO: nickjonline@gmail.com
*You may include also with sample of works, websites, a photo of yourself*
Edit: When I say list image accounts, I don’t mean like photobucket or flickr. I mean real image account places where you can get Jonas photos like Wireimage, Filmmagic, Getty Images, etc. When I mean know Wordpress, I meant you know how to use it. Also, it would be better if you were at least older (if you are like younger than 14… you have to impress me). Also, it’s better if you actually owned or use to own a real site.
From Katelyn Murphy – DIABETES
Support Katelyn Murphy in the 2008 Walk to Cure Diabetes, below is how!
Dear Friends and Family,
I’m writing to you to ask for your support in a very special cause.
This year, I’ll be taking part in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk to Cure Diabetes along with a half-million other walkers across the country. Our goal: To raise $105 million to help fund research for a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications.
Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating, often deadly disease that affects millions of people–a large and growing percentage of them children.
Many people think type 1 diabetes can be controlled by insulin. While insulin does keep people with type 1 diabetes alive, it is NOT a cure. Aside from the daily challenges of living with type 1 diabetes, there are many severe, often fatal, complications caused by the disease.
That’s the bad news… and yes, it’s pretty bad.
The good news, though, is that a cure for type 1 diabetes is within reach. In fact, JDRF funding and leadership is associated with most major scientific breakthroughs in type 1 diabetes research to date. And JDRF funds a major portion of all type 1 diabetes research worldwide, more than any other charity.
I’m writing to ask for your support because now more than ever, EACH of us can be a part of bringing about a cure. Each of us can make a real difference.
This year, I have the honor of being the captain of TEAM JONAS for the New Brunswick, NJ walk at Cook College, Rutgers. We are walking not only to help raise money to find a cure for all those affected by diabetes, but we are walking for one of my celebrity heroes (and maybe yours too!) Nick Jonas (of the Jonas Brothers). Nick lives everyday, whether on the road, in the studio, or on a set, with diabetes and always has such a positive attitude towards life. He does not let his disease slow him down and he encourages others to make the same vow. He is an inspiration to those suffering from the disease, as well as others, who are going through difficult times in their lives. My goal for this team is to support those who have diabetes, and to show support, as well as, our appreciation to Nick by raising money and awareness for a cause that is so close to his heart.
Won’t you please give to JDRF as generously as you’re able?
Together, we can make the cure a reality.Thank you,
Katelyn Murphy* Please visit my Walk Web page if you would like to donate online or see how close I am to reaching my personal goal:

“Jonas Brothers set to promote album in Europe, release ‘Lovebug’ video” – Sawf News – Read More
October 02, 2008, (Sawf News) – Next week the brothers will hop through major European cities performing and appearing on media shows to promote their new album – A Little Bit Longer. They are also set to release the video for the single Lovebug.
The Lovebug video, directed by Philip Andelman, will release on October 15. The rocker siblings, who debuted the single at the VMAs on September 7, told MTV news that it is a period-piece love story inspired by The Notebook. They wrote the song while on the the Hannah Montana tour with Miley Cyrus.
“We wrote it while on the Christmas break of the ‘Hannah Montana’ tour. So we were in the hotel room and sat down that night and wrote it in about 15 or 20 minutes,” Nick explained.
The inspiration for the track came from the soundtrack of the 2007 comedy drama Juno and the song is influenced by the Beatles.
When asked who the song maybe about, Joe said, “It can mean anything, but for us, it’s throwing any past inhibitions to the wind.”
“Really, just falling in love with somebody,” Nick added. “And [how] if they break your heart – or however it ends – you think, ‘That’s it forever,’ until the lovebug gets you [again].”…
“Get in to Madame Tussauds for a Song” – Washington Post – Read More
For me, Madame Tussauds, with its nearly $20 price tag, has been the one museum best left to the tourists — even though I’d love to spend a Saturday afternoon straightening the skinny ties of a waxen Jonas Brothers and comparing my assets to J-Lo’s.And I know I’m not the only one who’s curious.
Next Wednesday through Saturday (Oct. 8-11), thrifty Washingtonians will have a chance to visit Madame Tussauds for just $1 as the wax museum celebrates the first anniversary of its D.C. location. (Doesn’t it seem like it’s been there far longer?)
The catch: They want you to sing “Happy Birthday” at the box office. They’ll still let you in if you don’t, but you will be considered a poor sport.

…”We want to make the Jonas Brothers experience an event,” says oldest brother Kevin. “When you want to see ‘Camp Rock,’ then you have a Camp Rock party with all of your friends. When we have an album, then you’re the first one waiting in line to go buy it the midnight before the Tuesday.”
They reward such devotion, showing up at the Virgin Mega-store in Times Square to greet the 800 people waiting in line to buy their self-titled Hollywood Records album when it was released.
That approach paid off. When “A Little Bit Longer” was released in August, “There were 15,000 people in line to buy the album. They had to shut down Times Square,” Bunt says.
“We have a different connection with our fans,” Kevin says simply…

…”I like to think that what we take from the Disney brand is the strength of the storytelling and character development,” says Ross from London, where he’s helping to launch the net’s latest original telepic, “Camp Rock.” “What Disney gives us is a chance to speak to kids’ families.”…
Recent breakthrough: “Camp Rock” is shaping up to be another “High School Musical” for Disney, with the Jonas Brothers blossoming into teen heartthrobs…

Published by Tamar Anitai on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 7:49 pm.
JoBromance Magazine (not to be confused with the LOLs-a-lot book Brocabulary, which could’ve been based soley on Doug and Brody alone on this week’s episode of The Hills, though I digress) — a superbly crafted free online fanzine devoted to the Jonas Brothers — wrote an amazing article on “Jonas Brothers: Live & Mobile,” this summer’s MTV Jonastravaganza, in which I followed the Jonas Brothers (and Kevin Sr. and Denise, and Frankie Jonas, and Big Rob, and even Demi Lovato, plus a zillion screaming fans) around New York for two days.
Check out the article (just click le pic below) for more insider info on what it was really like to spend two straight days talking to the Jonas Brothers, hanging out on their tourbus, chasing them on their Segways, eating their food (thanks, guys!), waking them up in the morning, and invading their dressing room.
Then download the entire Fall 2008 issue. Also, extra <3s to editor Kimberly Carrera for putting together this most excellent JB fanzine and to the rest of the Jonas Brothers fans who contribute to the online mag. Seriously, I’ve seen less-professional for-pay publications on newsstands, but I guess that’s my fault for paging through Cat Fancy.
“Jonas Brothers – 2008 Is Their Year” – Times of the Internet – Read More
…Let’s look at what Kevin, 20, Joe, 19, and Nick, 16, have done so far this year.
The Jonas Brothers:
- Won 6 Teen Choice Awards
- Sold out their “Burning Up” tour
- Became the youngest group ever to appear on the cover of Rolling StoneThat won’t stop folks from labeling them impostors to the world of rock’n'roll or questioning the legitimacy of their fan base. But if the JoBros keep on doing what they’ve been doing, they might end up owning the next decade in music…
