“I’m the number one Jonas Brother fan!”

Golden Goose Entertainment, a new independent film company based in Escondido, has launched a search to find America’s No. 1 Jonas Brothers fan as the subject for a full-length docudrama that it hopes to release next summer.

Filmmaker Sherri Stiegman of Escondido was inspired to make the film, named “JoBros#1,” by her own daughter, who’s a big fan of Nick Jonas, the youngest member of the Disney Channel-bred sibling vocal trio.

The film (part fact, part fiction) will follow the filmmakers’ quest to audition as many as 100,000 Jonas Brothers fans across the country to track down the ultimate JoBros fan. A Web site has been created where fans can obtain a text message number so they can send in their name for consideration (each text costs $1.99). After registering, fans will be able to upload their personal videos or photos to detail their devotion to the pop trio. From those videos and other films shot at audition locations, Golden Goose will select the ultimate fan, who will receive a $10,000 cash prize.

“We’re looking for raw fanaticism,” Stiegman said. “I was on the outside cusp of the British invasion. All I got was the Backstreet Boys and ‘NSync. The Jonas Brothers are an alternate incarnation of the invasion, domestically bred.”

Although the film is about the Jonas Brothers, the brothers are not scheduled to appear in the film. But just in case the trio gets wind of the Web site and film-in-progress, Stiegman said she’s going to cross her fingers that they’ll agree to film a cameo with their No. 1 fan.

If “JoBros#1? is a success, Stiegman said she has plans for a docudrama called “Hollywood Dreams” featuring adult women competing to show their ultimate devotion to the hunks Patrick “McDreamy” Dempsey and Eric “McSteamy” Dane on “Grey’s Anatomy.”

“Women love to see and compete against other women. It’s our component nature and it starts at a juvenile level, as ‘JoBros#1? will clearly show,” said Joanne Busch, producer of “Hollywood Dreams.”
