Jonas Brothers star Kevin Jonas was sent to camp by his mother to get over splitting from his girlfriend.
Kevin Jonas was sent to camp to recover from his broken heart.
The 21-year-old Jonas Brothers singer admits he was so devastated when his girlfriend broke up with him his mother sent him away to help him forget about her.
He told Top of the Pops magazine: “The best way to get over a break-up is not thinking about it and getting away from it. A girl broke up with me and I was devastated so my mom sent me to camp. It was awesome.
“You learn that it’s not the end of the world, and it’s hard, but you’ve got to realise it does get better.”
Despite his heartbreak, Kevin admits he and his siblings Joe and Nick – who all wear purity rings to signify their vow to abstain from premarital sex – are often pursued by young girls who will do anything to get close to them.
He said: “We have a very good security team who keep us very protected, but we’ve definitely had our moments. We’ve had fans running on to highways to chase our tour bus. They’ve even tried to climb up wire fences to get near us.”

WHEN America’s newest superstars turn up for their interviews at London’s Soho Hotel, there’s a definite buzz outside, thanks to a small but energetic gaggle of teenage girls.
Yet these pearly-teethed poster-boys who form their own stadium-filling rock band aren’t what you’d call particularly… well, rock ‘n’ roll.
Instead they’re a squeaky-clean Christian trio who won’t even talk about their famously abstemious lifestyles (though they do have girlfriends), or explain the “purity” rings they openly wear on their fingers.

It’s no wonder that Disney snapped them up and produced their new movie, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, which features up-close-and-personal stage excerpts and behind-the-scenes footage from the lads’ Burning Up tour in the US, which drew more than a million fans.
The film also shows the three brothers – Kevin, 21, Joe, 19, and 16-year-old Nick – finding ingenious means to escape the hordes of screaming fans as they travel from city to city, such as when they exit their tour car and clamber over other vehicles’ rooftops. Such off-the-wall, verité moments inevitably echo similar scenes from A Hard Day’s Night, the first cinematic outing by The Beatles a full four-and-a-half decades earlier.
“A Hard Day’s Night was definitely an inspiration for us. It was a classic,” says Kevin. “We were more influenced by the musical side to that, but we thought this is one of the funniest movies we’ve ever seen, and we’ve got to find a way to add a little humour into our movie, which is why we have the film’s opening breakfast scene and the chase sequence. We wanted it to be a concert film but also have those pieces that make you laugh.”

The Jonas Brothers insist that they have never fallen out, despite being in each other’s pockets.
Kevin, Joe and Nick play together in the band, star in a TV show and now have a film coming out, but they still manage to get on.
Nick explained: “From the early days, we’ve learnt how to work and write together – we don’t fight.”
He continued: “There are little things we disagree over, but we learn to work them out. Kevin’s a bit messy sometimes, but I share a room with Joe.”
Kevin said it was a question of respect.
“We get along very well. I think it’s just because we have a different kind of respect for one another, being in the band together.
“We consider each other as equals. There’s no picking on the youngest, it’s just not that way. We have fun with each other, but it’s never serious, coming down on someone,” he said.
Kevin, Joe and Frankie Jonas recently visited Rita’s Italian Ice in Bedford, Texas for some yummy treats! The brothers are huge fans of Rita’s, so when the first ever Texas location opened up near their home in Dallas, they were first in line. So what did they order? Kevin: We try to be wise with our money but we bought a home together, so that was pretty big!

Joe: A dead shark! It just said shark on it.
Nick: It wasn’t a full size shark, it was miniature, like a baby. It was preserved in this odd tube. I think the point with that is that we still talk about it today – it was like three years ago probably, so if that fan’s goal was to have us still talk about it for years then they did it!
Kevin: Yeah we were just like ‘O-kaaay!’

Kevin: Celine Dion. She was awesome, she was so complimentary and super-sweet and super-nice.
Joe: Matt Damon. He was so nice, he even prayed before we went on stage with us, and just hung out with us and stuff. He was so cool.
8.Which celeb reality show would you do if you absolutely had no choice?
Joe: I’d do The Greatest Race which is this thing in the US where you have a partner and you have 80 days to go around the entire world, and you just run with backpacks and stuff. And there’s teams of like six or seven people.
Nick: Yeah they usually do it with like a struggling couple and it’s how they bond. It’s amazing!
Joe: I’d do it with my best friend John.
Nick: Yeah it’d be cool to do it with a best mate. Or we’d make quite a good team together too!
