For the first time, Billboard’s annual Money Makers ranking, which is the most comprehensive report card of its kind, is based on the artist’s share of revenue as opposed to total dollars generated by each artist in the ranking. NY-band Vampire Weekend just released their second album, and recently premiered the video for the song “Giving Up The Gun,” and it features none other than Joe Jonas and Jake Gyllenhaal! You can check it out here. What brought Joe to this project? Likely the video directors the Malloy Bros, who also directed the video for JB’s “Paranoid”. Good job, Joe!
Joe and Demi Make A Wave
Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato recently recorded a new single entitled “Make a Wave” as part of Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green. Disney hopes “Make a Wave” will be a new eco-anthem to save the planet’s oceans. As Joe told E! News, “The song is about how kids, families … [should] do what they can to protect the ocean.” J&D premiered the single in a live performance at EPCOT Center recently, and the track will premiere on Radio Disney February 26. On March 14, the video and single go on sale at iTunes, and all proceeds will benefit environmental charities. The eco-tune will also be featured in Disneynature’s upcoming movie OCEANS.

Well, today is that day and now we’ve got another clue to the mystery. A new video titled 4zero9ten has hit the web. We can only wonder what the video is for. The video features all of the Jonas Group’s clients like the Jonas Brothers, Jordin Sparks, Demi Lovato, Honor Society, Wonder Girls, Frankie Jonas, Meaghan Martin, Jordan Pruitt, KSM & Anna Maria Perez de Tagle. We think this rules out the idea of a tour DVD.
