From Blog Girl:
The Jonas Brothers may be busy filming Camp Rock 2 in Toronto, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have time to check in with some of the most IMPORTANT people in their lives: their fans! Kevin, Nick and Joe wrote a letter and posted it on their MySpace page today letting all of YOU know what this month’s been like for them. “It’s been quite an eventful couple of weeks,” they spilled, “Starting with Nick’s birthday where we got to spend some time with our family and some great friends!” They’re also having a WONDERFUL time in Toronto. “We have to say it’s been great being up here in Toronto,” they continued, “We’ve taken in all that Toronto has to offer from the Royal Ontario Museum, to a U2 concert at the Rogers Center (amazing!!!!!) and the Kings Of Leon at Hamilton (also incredible) to just walking around the city with a cup of coffee our friends in a stellar city.” Awesome, guys! We’re so GLAD to hear that you’re having a blast and we can’t wait to hear MORE about it!

Toronto UPDATE
Hey Everyone!Just wanted to check in with all of our fans and get you all in the
loop. Even without being on the road it’s been quite an eventful
couple of weeks. Starting with Nick’s birthday where we got to spend
some time with our family and some great friends! In fact quite a few
of our friends made the journey up here to Toronto to hang with us and
make it such an incredible night, and we truly thank them for that. We’ve also had a bunch of other things in the pipeline now, as you’ve
seen we have a really cool YouTube challenge going on…. And the
Verizon kickball game is just around the corner (we love our games!)
And a show! Yes it always comes back to the shows! That’s what we’re
all about. Getting to do what we love and what you’ve all made it
possible for us to do year round… Getting in front of our fans and
playing our music. In a couple of weeks we get to go back to the
States and play a show at Mohegan Sun, so we’re pretty stoked about
that.Though we have to say it’s been great being up here in Toronto. We’ve
read your comments to our blogs and totally agree that we’ve had the
chance to unwind and just chill while we’ve been up here. We’ve taken
in all that Toronto has to offer from the Royal Ontario Museum, to a
U2 concert at the Rogers Center (amazing!!!!!) and the Kings Of Leon
at Hamilton (also incredible) to just walking around the city with a
cup of coffee our friends in a stellar city.Until next time!

NIAGARA FALLS!Hey Everyone!
Just got back from a mini-family vacation! All we have now are 6 more Wonders of the World to see.
It was nice for us to get away together as a family and enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer on this incredible weekend, but we can’t wait to get back into the swing of things. We’ve already started to count the days until we kick off our winter portion of the tour!
We also want to thank all of our fans last night that checked out our premier of the “Keep it Real” video. It meant so much to us getting the feedback we did last night on our Say Now line, and getting to talk one on one with our fans… You guys are the greatest!!!

Nick Jonas is only 16 years old, but he’s already been a pop star for years. He’s also had type 1 diabetes for nearly four of those years. When he spoke to journalists at the National Press Club recently, he was one of the youngest guests ever invited to speak there.
Nick told the audience that before he was diagnosed with type 1, he didn’t know anything about it and had never met anybody else with diabetes. That’s all changed now, however. Young people with diabetes are among his most passionate fans, and he has even written an inspiring song, “A Little Bit Longer,” to share his experience with the disease.

The Jonas Brothers: Growing larger, smarter, adventurous
By John J. Moser | Of The Morning Call
July 11, 2009When it comes to their albums and tours, the Jonas Brothers say they want to be on the cutting edge.
That’s why the group’s world tour, which plays Tuesday and Wednesday at IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J., and July 23 and 24 at Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, has a 140-feet-long, 30-feet-wide in-the round stage, a giant crane levitating over the audience and a one-of-a-kind circular water screen that not only makes it rain indoors, but projects lyrics and band silhouettes onto the cascading water.
But when it comes to music, the Jonases say they found inspiration for their chart-topping new disc, ”Lines, Vines & Trying Times,” in Neil Diamond’s music from the 1960s and ’70s. The disc, which this week dropped to No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot 200 chart after debuting at the top two weeks ago, features heavy horns and strings on several of the tracks.
The Jonases — Nick, 16, Joe, 19, and Kevin, 21 — even cover Diamond’s ”Sweet Caroline” in concert.
Nick says they were ”inspired” by Diamond after performing his song ”Forever in Blue Jeans” in a pre- Grammy Awards MusiCares Foundation tribute to him in February.
”It really got us pumped about all that he’s done in his career and how amazing he is,” Nick says. ”We were sitting in the audience watching people play all of his songs and really realizing how amazing his career has been and being inspired by his band. So we tried to infuse that in some of our sounds.”
Kevin adds, ”I think we hope to bring music that hasn’t been heard in pop music in a while. There are a lot of horns in this new record. There are a lot of new strings and there are a lot of different musical instruments that are going to add and build to the sound that we already have.”
Diamond wasn’t the only inspiration. Nick also cites Stevie Wonder — with whom the group performed at the Grammys — Prince, Kings of Leon, English indie rockers The Zutons and his favorite, Elvis Costello.
