Nick Jonas had a lot on the line Tuesday night, taking over the role of J. Pierpont Finch from Daniel Radcliffe and Darren Criss. In fact, he was drinking tea throughout his Cambio Live chat on Monday to make sure his voice stayed in tip top shape. But that didn’t stop the 19-year-old from signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans waiting outside the stage door at the Al Hirschfield Theatre in New York on opening night.
Some of the fans traveled from as far away as Brazil to wish Nick luck on his six-month run in the show. Nick’s entire family was there as well including brothers Kevin, Joe and Frankie, parents Kevin Sr. and Denise and his girlfriend Delta Goodrem.
Nick spent about 20 minutes with fans before AND after the show to make sure he got to say hi to everyone who had traveled to see him. Were you one of the ones there on opening night? Let us know your Nick Jonas experience in the comments below.

See clips from Nick’s performance in the show, interviews with the cast including Michael Urie, Beau Bridges and Rose Hemingway after opening night at the cast party and fans greeting Nick at the stage door. Come back tomorrow for more from opening night including more interviews with fans and Nick.
It looks like Nick Jonas is getting along swimmingly with his How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying cast, particularly Michael Urie. In this new video, which Nick dropped hints about during a Cambio Live chat on Monday, the Broadway costars show off just how much they’ve learned about each other during rehearsals for the show.
Nick and Michael decide to put their newly-minted friendship to the test by quizzing each other on their favorite subject: themselves. Watch the video below to witness the full comedic chemistry on display between these two… meticulously cultivated during hours of rehearsal and dance practice. We don’t want to spoil the fun, so we’ll just say that it looks like one of the guys has some catching up to do during the next six months of the show.
Cambio, your online destination for entertainment news, will also be blogging from opening night on Tuesday with all the backstage details of Nick’s first performance. Make sure to share this exciting news with your family and friends!

“I’ve enjoyed having you here. Would you like to hear one more?”
“We know about sixteen more,” he says before asking the fans what they want to hear him play. “I’ve got the guitar for inseparable,” he says to the cheers of the crowd. “So let’s do that one.”
“Thank you everybody, that was fun… I’m glad we did one more,” he says at the end of the song. Make sure to watch the other three episodes of FanDrop with Nick Jonas on Cambio.

Nick Jonas wrapped up his South America tour recently and was nice enough to put together a video diary from his trip that shows him meeting his fans at his tour stops in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Venezuela and Paraguay, where he tweeted the photo above of the crowd.
“It was amazing to go and perform for the fans down in South America,” he told us at the end of the tour. “I can’t wait for my next trip down.” Next up for Nick, a guest appearance on the NBC show, ‘Smash.’ And then he’ll be heading to Broadway next year for ‘How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying,’ which was on his mind when he was thousands of miles away on tour.
