Thanks to the radio station for tweeting us the audio of the interview after asking if they can post it. Seriously such a funny interview. I love it! Check it out down below:
THAT’S A “FIRST”: Clear Channel’s Pop station websites nationwide and iHeartRadio will host the exclusive world premiere of “First Time” by the Jonas Brothers on July 17, marking the launch of Clear Channel’s new video initiative. The song, the lead track from the group’s forthcoming fifth album, is being spearheaded at radio by Richard Palmese, Denise George and the In2une promo team—and is seeing more action at the format as an indie release (on Jonas Enterprises) than the band did as a major-label act. In fact, it’s the fastest-breaking Jonas single ever, one of radio’s most added tracks every week since its bow three weeks ago. The video, by the way, features footage of the brothers at the Miss USA competition. (7/15a)

Photo: Subway employee Abi Smigla (center) with the Jonas Brothers at the Highland, Ind. restaurant location on Sunday, July 7, 2013.
The Jonas Brothers singing trio have an appetite for more than just entertainment.
They began their new summer concert tour Wednesday at the FirstMerit Bank Pavilion in Chicago.
And as mentioned in my Wednesday column, prior to hitting the road, the pop singing siblings spent most of week in the Region staying at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza in Merrillville since Saturday and using the adjoining Star Plaza Theatre for four days to rehearse.
While much was made earlier this week about Kevin, 25, the eldest Jonas and brothers Nick, 20, and Joe, 23, spotted at Chicago’s North Beach playing volleyball, it’s no surprise since they always make time for outside fun and spending time with fans while visiting cities during their tour stops.
The last time I interviewed the Jonas Brothers was in Chicago, in August 2010 when they were in town to launch their three-continent “Live in Concert” summer tour, which kicked off at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Ill.
And to help hype that 2010 Chicagoland visit, the New Jersey brothers played a game of softball at the 6,500-seat Silver Cross Field in Joliet, home of the Joliet Jackhammers.
Nick, who plays third base, started the team, which also includes band members, in 2009, calling themselves the Road Dogs, with Kevin as pitcher and Joe as outfielder.
Jeff Owczarzak, owner of the Subway restaurant franchise at 3443 45th St. in Highland, got the surprise of his life when the Jonas Brothers dropped by his sandwich shop around noon on Sunday.
“After their visit, I’m now saying: ‘Eat where all the stars eat,” Owczarzak said.
According to his restaurant’s general manager, April Connor, the restaurant’s staff was just as surprised about the unplanned visit.
“We didn’t have any advance call,” Connor said.
“They came in and placed their orders, and took them with to go. They gave autographs to the girls working, and they all said they were super nice guys. One of the girls working, Abi Smigla even had her photo taken with the brothers.”
As for the Jonas Brothers sandwich preferences? Kevin ordered a roasted chicken sub, while brother Nick had a chicken teriyaki sub and Joe had a turkey and ham sub.
Thank you to reader Lynn Rolewski of Schererville who passed along some great news and “notices” about a local actress making some stage gains. “Reading your column it seems you, along with your parents, enjoy plays,” Lynn wrote. “We just saw ‘Legally Blonde the Musical’ in June at the Muncie Civic Theatre. My niece Madeline Pyke from Lowell played the lead Elle. We also found out two others from our region were also in this play run, one from Crown Point and I believe the other was Schererville. It was a terrific play and relatively clean. My mother-in-Law also enjoyed it. If you’re not judging contests or have any writing deadlines it was worth the drive. Have a great Summer!”
Fresh from the O Music Awards at MTV’s studios in New York City, Joe, Kevin, and Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers share their love for social media in this video interview with SocialTimes. The brothers also talk about how their single “First Time” leaked on iTunes a few days ahead of schedule and drop a few hints about their upcoming video, which was shot in Vegas. But first, Joe explains what it was like sharing a stage with a petting zoo goat at the OMAs.
The Jonas Brothers are back with new music, so naturally, Joe Jonas is debuting a new haircut, too!
“I’ve always had long hair, and it’s kind of nice to do it for the summer. It’s always so hot and extreme,” Joe explained to MTV News before kicking off the O Music Awards (where he took home the award for Best Instagram Artist).
And we can’t disagree with that since, as they frequently do, the boys are celebrating summer with a music tour across the country, giving fans a taste of their upcoming album.
Joe’s more mature shaved look definitely reflects the brother’s new sound on their latest singles “Pom Poms” and “First Time.” We look forward to seeing what else will change with the release of the album later this year.
(Oh, and if anyone is wondering what the deal is with Joe’s new facial hair? The jokester couldn’t help but add: “I just moved all my hair to my face.”)
