Well the weather outside is frightful, but Broadway.com is making the season delightful by revisiting some of our favorite Broadway-themed holiday clips. In 2008, Nick Jonas, who will join the hit revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on January 24, teamed up with his famous brothers Joe and Kevin to rock out at the annual lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. With their fashionable duds, you’d think the Jonas Brothers would have skinny ties and pea coats on their Christmas list, but Nick wanted only one thing that year: “The Girl of My Dreams.” Since then, Kevin has tied the knot with Danielle Deleasa, while Nick is heating things up with current flame, Australian singer/songwriter Delta Goodrem. Celebrate Christmas with the Jonas Brothers by clicking below, and be sure to get your tickets to see Nick as J. Pierrepont Finch in the new year!

Updated today at 4:44 PMVIRGINIA BEACH — The Jonas Brothers are big time music stars and they gave a big time gift to a student at First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach.
Friends of Becca Parcells contacted 13News to see if we could help pull off a surprise that would mean the world to Becca, who was diagnosed with malignant brain cancer when she was six. Now, 9 years later, she has just a few months left to live.
“She’s been fighting for so long and she needs to get out and think of all of the happy stuff and just realize how much we love her,” said Marla Wales, a First Colonial student and friend of Becca’s.
Students have surprised her with many acts of kindness — like a limousine party donated by Icon Limousines.“We wanted to get involved because it’s so close to Christmas,” said Mark Bold of Icon Limousines. “We wanted to do something nice for the family, give her a special day.”
Texas Roadhouse at Battlefield Boulevard in Chesapeake donated a Becca Barbecue for a hundered of Becca’s closest friends.
“It’s kids helping kids,” said Peter Jacqueline of Texas Roadhouse in Chesapeake. “It doesn’t get any better than that and we are dedicated to helping great kids’ causes.”
Her friends have also filled boxes with cards and letters of encouragement. Her friends and neighbors also came together to decorate her house for Christmas.
“It’s absolutely unbelievable the support we’ve had throughout this whole thing,” said Gina Parcells’, Becca’s mother. “You hear bad things about kids and you look around and you see all this good kids are doing….there are no words to describe it.”
The passion and spirit of the kids at First Colonial High School is fueled by “Rachel’s Challenge,” a national program that inspires students across the country to engage in acts of kindness and love.
It was inspired by Rachel Scott, a young student who died too soon in the shootings at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado in 1999.She left behind writings calling on students across the country to be better people and to start a chain reaction of kindness.
To date, more than 15 million people have heard Rachel’s story around the world, including the students at FC.
“Rachel’s Challenge is to bring together a community, its to support people so no matter what differences a person has we love them,” said Marisa Bergfield, Rachel’s Challenge President at First Colonial High School.
Marisa contacted 13News to see if we would be able to put Becca in touch with her favorite music group, The Jonas Brothers. After some legwork and several phone conversations and email exchanges, Hollywood Records delivered a phone call from Kevin Jonas to Becca inside her limo.
You can hear part of the conversation in the video story above. It was a magical moment Becca will never forget.
“I feel famous,” said Becca.
That’s exactly how her friends want her to live, feeling like the rock star they believe she is.
“Thank you, thank you very much I love you guys,” Becca said. “Rachel’s challenge rocks!”

EPISODE RECAP: Last Christmas Standing
Season 1 | Episode 110 | Aired 12/06/2011Mike is shocked to see Ryan (guest star Nick Jonas) at church during Christmastime. Who’s Ryan, you ask? He’s the guy who got Kristin pregnant and then took off. After two and half years of bouncing around with various acting jobs, Ryan has returned to Denver with a steady gig as the senior knight at the Renaissance Faire. That’s good work if you can get it!
Ryan is a slick, smooth, good-looking guy. His winning smile works well with the ladies, but Mike’s not buying this actor’s act. Neither is Kyle, who worries his relationship with Kristin may be in jeopardy. Speaking of Kristin, she’s upset with her dad for holding a grudge against Ryan. Eve brings up the fact that Mike makes everyone go to church every Sunday where they always preach forgiveness. Okay, that one gets to him.
Ed dresses up as Santa to spread holiday cheer at the Outdoor Man store. He asks Mike to wear the red suit, but that won’t happen unless there’s some kind of “Santa Clause” he doesn’t know about. In other news, Mandy scores a gig as Ed’s number one elf. She’s appalled by the working conditions. Mandy unionizes her colleagues to protest the unfair labor practices at Santa’s Sweatshop. She says, “It is no longer every elf for his…elf!”
The Outdoor Man customers simply won’t cross a picket line formed by elves, pixies and flying reindeer. Mike sets up a negotiating session between Santa and his disgruntled elf. The five percent cost-of-living increase Mandy wants every six months simply isn’t going happen since her job ends in three days. A company car is out, too. But the elves will be allowed a five-minute break every hour. It’s a Christmas miracle!
Kyle shows up for Christmas dinner bearing gifts. He has a poinsettia for Vanessa and an engagement ring for Kristin, who quickly says no to Kyle’s marriage proposal. The hits just keep on coming when Ryan shows up unexpectedly. His timing isn’t great, as Mike just broke out his carving knife.
Kristin assures Kyle that there’s no need for him to feel threatened by Ryan. She wants the guy to be part of Boyd’s life, not hers. As for Mike, he’s willing to call a Christmas truce so that Ryan can join them for dinner. Ed also pops by with a balloon bouquet to celebrate the holiday engagement that never was. Maybe the balloons will keep till New Year’s!
